Question: How do you create the aligners?
Answer: We will first need to take detailed digital impression of your smile using intraoral cameras. We may also take digital x-rays as well. These materials will be sent to the Invisalign lab, where experts will then create a series of aligner from a clear and BPA-free plastic material.
Question: How often does the patient wear them?
Answer: The patient will need to wear them every day, between 20 and 23 hours per day. In order to see optimal results in the initial time frame the dentist offers, patients must wear them as recommended. Going days without wearing them means day where your smile isn’t being treated at all.
Question: Can the aligners ever be removed?
Answer: Yes! You can remove them when you brush and floss your teeth, which makes caring for them during treatment easy. You can also remove them prior to meals, so you don’t need to avoid certain foods, as you would if you were wearing metal braces.
Question: What is the total treatment time?
