Tooth bonding can provide a quick and economical cosmetic or restorative treatment option for a variety of dental health concerns. Arlington Heights dentists Dr. Brent Engelberg and Dr. Jennifer Mullarkey ares experienced cosmetic dentists and can help patients to achieve natural looking results with tooth bonding.
Tooth Bonding: What To Expect
Cosmetic tooth bonding is basically the same process as a resin dental filling and is typically completed during a single visit to our dentist office. Dr. Engelberg or Dr. Mullarkey will prepare the surface of the tooth (or teeth) to be treated, directly apply a tooth-colored resin, and sculpt it into the desired shape for a natural result that can last for several years or more with proper dental care.
Tooth bonding may be recommended to treat:
- Spaces between teeth
- Misshapen teeth
- Minor chips, cracks or damage to teeth
- Discolored teeth
- Tooth cavities
Tooth bonding is often covered by dental insurance when addressing tooth damage or a dental health concern, but is also an alternative to the more expensive option of dental veneers. We will discuss all aspects of your tooth bonding procedure, including cost, prior to your treatment. We accept most dental insurance and work with patients to estimate their portion of the total cost.
