How Do You Repair Damaged Teeth?

If you damage a tooth, we recommend seeing a dentist right away. Otherwise, the damage could lead to a higher risk of tooth decay and dental infection. We can use cosmetic and restorative treatments to repair the teeth and restore them to optimal function and appearance. We can repair your damaged teeth!

Chipped Teeth

If a tooth becomes chipped, we can often repair it in one visit using bonding. We apply a composite resin to the tooth, reshaping it as the material cures under a light. We finish the procedure by thoroughly polishing the tooth for a more lifelike appearance. The entire visit takes one visit and can help protect the tooth from decay or infection. We use the same material in our white, metal-free fillings.

Broken Teeth

Now, if the damage to the tooth is more severe, bonding may not be enough. Fortunately, we can place a crown. The crown fits over the entire visible portion of the tooth. Using CEREC technology, we can create and place a ceramic restoration in one visit. Ceramic mimics the appearance of tooth enamel. The material is also strong and stain-resistant.

In addition to crowns, we can also place veneer. These restorations are thin and cover the front and sides of the tooth. Veneers are often used to address problems with the shade and shape of the tooth transforming the tooth’s appearance.

Dental Fractures

A fracture can increase the risk of infection. The first step to repair is often a root canal to prevent an infection or abscess from threatening the tooth. Afterward, we restore the tooth with a dental crown. As we mentioned above, CEREC allows us to create and place a custom-made restoration in a single visit.
