What is CEREC?

How does CEREC work?
To begin, Dr. Engelberg will scan your affected tooth and use the CEREC software to create a 3-D digital image. He will use this 3-D image to design a dental restoration that is customized to your smile. This image will be sent to our in-office milling system where your custom dental restoration will be fabricated. CEREC dental restorations are made of high-quality porcelain, with no need for temporaries or impressions trays. Once the restoration is complete, Dr. Engelberg will polish it and place it. With CEREC technology, the dental restorations are made with a greater degree of accuracy and allow Dr. Engelberg the on-site ability to make adjustments to ensure a comfortable fit.
