In the past, receiving a filling or a crown meant that the dentist would place a restoration made from metal. While this would restore the tooth, the tooth would also stand out. Fortunately, we can now offer cosmetic restorations that look completely natural while providing strong and long lasting smile improvement.
Frequently Asked Questions About Cosmetic Restorations
Question: Will my fillings look natural?
Answer: Yes! Instead of using metal, we will use composite resin. Metal-free, this material can be shaded to better blend with your smile. Placement only takes a single visit, repairing teeth suffering from decay and protecting teeth form further trouble. We can also use this material to repair a chipped tooth in a dental bonding procedure.
Question: Do you offer lifelike crowns?
Answer: Yes! Using the CEREC system, we employ CAD/CAM technology to create a custom-made crown from a solid block of ceramic in a single visit. In the same visit, we can then place the restoration. Ceramic is a strong, lifelike, and stain-resistant material, protecting your tooth while blending seamlessly with your smile.
Question: When do you recommend veneers?
Answer: A veneer is placed onto the front of the teeth and used primarily to address cosmetic concerns. Made from porcelain, the veneer can reshape the tooth, masking discoloration and addressing damage, while also closing gaps between teeth and even correcting the appearance of minor misalignment.
Question: How do I get started?
Answer: First, give us a call and schedule a visit. We will carefully examine your smile to assess your cosmetic concerns. We can then recommend a personalized treatment plan, which may include cosmetic restorations, to improve your smile’s beauty.
