How To Keep Up With My Oral Hygiene On The Go

We understand that life can be very busy, so busy that you are in a  rush to get out of the house in the morning, or so tired when you get home that you just want to go to sleep to prepare for the next day.

When you have a full-time job, or if your job requires a lot of travel, or you may even own your own business. You need to stay on top of your oral hygiene, as you do not want to be forced to stop your busy life to visit the dentist office for a procedure to fix something that could have easily been prevented.

Things To Do On The Go

  • Pocket Size Oral Hygiene
    • Many manufacturers offer travel size toothpaste, mouthwash, and floss that can discreetly fit in your vehicle’s glove box or your carry on luggage.  Some of these items are so small that you may even be able to put them in your jacket pocket and be able to use them after each meal. Next time you are in your local pharmacy, check out the travel accessories aisle, and you will see all the options available.
  • Sugar-Free Gum
    • We know you may have been told that gum is not good for your oral hygiene. However, gum helps your mouth produce saliva, and this salvia helps rinse away any leftover food that may be stuck in between your teeth. Also, saliva can help prevent dry mouth, which can cause bad breath. Make sure to grab a pack of sugar-free gum and throw it in your back pocket or purse.
  • Stay Hydrated
    • Water is not only great for your body, but also your smile as most of today’s water supplies contain fluoride which has been proven to slow down the growth of bacteria in your mouth.
